2018 Ford Mustang GT Convertible

This version of the Ford Mustang GT is a truly fantastic car, boasting excellent power, great handling, and surprisingly modern technology. I especially adore convertible models, as I enjoy top-down driving more than just about anything – and the convertible/V8 combination is sublime.

A window sticker is provided in the photo gallery showing an original MSRP of $53,470, and a partial list of notable equipment includes the Equipment group 401A, Safe and Smart Package, a 10-speed automatic transmission, blade decklid spoiler, 3.55 ratio limited-slip differential, active valved performance exhaust, and leather interior upholstery, among other standard and optional equipment.
The sixth-generation Ford Mustang arrived for the 2015 model year with a new independent rear suspension and a wide range of models. A mid-cycle update for 2018 brought more power and revised styling. In Mustang-speak, the “GT” trim has long equated to V8 power, and the latest model uses the automaker’s Coyote V8.
Power comes from a 5.0-liter Coyote V8, rated at 460 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
