It’s easy to see why the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter has become tremendously popular as a camper – it touts a cavernous interior, a robust drivetrain, AND great technology that takes some of the strain out of long road trips. This example was modified by Winnebago, which is a highly respected name in the RV world – and it touts everything you need to live life on the road. There’s a bed, a sink, a fridge, a shower, and even a television, among many other features. It’s also a one-owner van that touts reasonably low mileage, along with a clean, accident.
2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500XD, finished in Pebble Gray with a beige interior.
Converted into a camper by Winnebago, this high-roof van is fitted with an awning, a rear-mounted ladder, twin folding beds, a Nova Kool fridge, a High Pointe microwave, a single-burner induction cooktop, a stainless-steel sink, a shower, a toilet, LED interior lighting, a Coleman air conditioning system, a television, a KING OmniGo antenna, and roof-mounted solar panels, among other features.
Factory equipment includes LED headlights, a power-operated sliding door, heated, power-adjustable, and swiveling front seats, a wireless device charger, a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the MBUX infotainment system, and crosswind assist, according to a build sheet shown in the gallery.
The current-generation Mercedes-Benz Sprinter made its debut for the 2019 model year with significant updates, including an available 7-speed automatic transmission that improved fuel economy and acceleration and a longer list of available technology features added to make driving a big, boxy van as effortless as possible. It’s still offered today in a wide selection of configurations.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6, rated at 188 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. Called OM642 internally, it spins the rear wheels via a 7-speed automatic transmission.
